Why This Has to Be Different

Before ChampChase, I was deep in crypto gaming. Heroes and Empires — I was there for the pre-launch. I was paying people 50 euros to click buy on pre-sale boxes using wallets I'd set up for them on their computers, loaded with my money. I got 8 boxes. Made 7K in a week. I was running 20 accounts on 20 different VPS instances, grinding the game as hard as humanly possible.

I loved it. The scaling, the optimization, the money. I was basically a kid.

We all know how it ended. I was naive. I didn't withdraw. I clung to hope. The greed, the stupidity, the complete disregard for anything except number go up — I didn't just watch it happen, I lived it.

That's why ChampChase has to be different. I've seen firsthand what happens when a game is built purely for extraction. The community dies. The trust dies. Everything dies.

ChampChase isn't in it for the money. We're in it for the love of the game. The 10% For Good pledge isn't marketing — I wrote about flying to developing countries to build gyms when I was 18, before I knew what a pitch deck was.

I've had a rough time. I don't want to self-pity about it. But if I can help someone else having a rough time, that's a win. If I can make games for a living, something I'm passionate about, AND help people while doing it — that's the dream. That's the whole point.
