MILESTONEBETAFOUNDER

ChampChase.

The trailer is done.

Five hours straight tonight. Started the day not feeling it, then it clicked, then I didn't move until it was finished. I'm proud of it.

The beta's been live about a day. Six testers. 1,220 game passes shipped. Ed B — me, hi — at 325 sessions on iPhone 15 Plus, mostly verifying my own builds. The other five are real strangers playing the actual game.

If you've got an iPhone, the trailer's on the site. Watch it. Play the beta. Tell me what's broken — that's how it gets good.

**The grind.**

Last ten days were brutal. ~$300 of API tokens burned in the final push — the bar chart at the right edge of my Anthropic console is a wall. Claude weekly maxed out four days before reset. Even spending all of it, I couldn't land the queued beta fixes in time, so the beta ran for a day on v1 — people hitting bugs I'd already patched. Weekly reset today. Fixes pushed to Apple. Pending approval. Should land in the morning.

That's the cost of doing this. I'm not whining — it's the work. But it's the work.

And of course Opus 4.8 dropped tonight, right as I closed the trailer. Would've been nice last week.

**Android.**

Working on it. Hard. Google Play Console developer account is set up. The only thing standing between me and an Android beta is that I don't own an Android phone — Google wants me to verify my dev profile on a physical device.

Imagine that. The shippable Android port is gated on me borrowing somebody's phone for five minutes.

If you're in Riga with an Android, hit me up.

**Six months ago.**

Six months ago I started building this. Dad floated the idea six years before that.

Now there's a public beta. The trailer's cut. Six people are playing the game. Some of them have said nice things.

I don't take any of it for granted.

**Thanks.**

There aren't enough words for this and I'm going to butcher it anyway, but here we go.

Mom — none of this would exist without you. The amount of support you've shown me through this stretch is way past what anyone reasonable would do, considering the circumstances. Thank you. I love you. Couldn't have done it.

Dad — six years ago you mentioned the idea. Six months ago I started building it. I've had a Claude Max 20x sub for the past six months and you've been quietly footing it. I don't enjoy asking. When I do, the moment it's about ChampChase, it's not a conversation — you just say yes. Tools, headspace, conviction. Thank you for helping me move toward something seven months ago I would not have believed was possible.

Brothers and sisters — you've been checking in. Asking how it's going. Saying you're proud. It lands every time. Thank you.

And everybody else who's stood by me through this. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. This wouldn't exist without you.

It's been one hell of a ride. The beta is live. The trailer is out. Now I get the fixes through Apple, port to Android, and keep going.

Good night.

Six testers. The number that mattered most this week.
