PRIVACY POLICY

Plain language, no surprises. ChampChase is a one-person studio. We only ask for what we need to send you beta access and reply to you — nothing more, and we never sell your data.
WHO WE ARE
ChampChase is an independent game studio based in Riga, Latvia (a solo developer). For anything privacy-related, email contact@champchase.net — that reaches the person who runs the whole thing.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Beta signup. Your email address, and an optional fighter name. That’s it — no credit card, no address.
Contact forms. Depending on which form you use: your name, email, and message, plus the extra fields that form asks for (for press: outlet, deadline, angle; for investors: company, LinkedIn; for bug reports: device, browser, and what went wrong). You choose what to type.
Analytics. None. There’s no third-party analytics on this site — nothing that follows you, nothing that phones home. The server keeps a few plain counters of its own (page views, fights started, boxes opened) as running totals. They’re aggregate numbers, not visits tied to you, and your IP is held only for a minute at a time to stop abuse of the counter.
Your browser’s localStorage. We store small things in your own browser to make the site work — like your beta card and a marker for the “what’s new since you were last here” feed. This stays on your device; it isn’t sent to us.
WHY (LAWFUL BASIS)
When you join the beta or send us a message, we use your details for that purpose — on the basis of your consent (submitting the form) and our legitimate interest in replying to you and running the site. The aggregate counters also rest on legitimate interest.
HOW WE USE IT
To email you about beta access and launch, to reply to what you send us, and to understand roughly how the site is doing. We don’t sell or rent your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
WHO ELSE TOUCHES IT
A few trusted services help run ChampChase: our web host (WebHostingWorld) stores form submissions and sends our email; Netlify serves images and static assets; and if you join the beta, Apple TestFlight handles app distribution. We only share what each needs to do its job.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
Only as long as we need it — your beta email until launch (or until you ask us to remove it), and contact messages long enough to handle and follow up. Ask us to delete your data anytime and we will.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under the GDPR you can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, or withdraw consent at any time — just email contact@champchase.net. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority; in Latvia that’s the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija, dvi.gov.lv).
COOKIES
We don’t use tracking cookies, and there’s no analytics to put one there. The localStorage above is purely functional.
